A rejected campaign is frustrating, but the failure reason carriers send usually points straight at the fix. Below are rejection reasons we see on real client accounts, what each one means and how to correct it.
USE_CASE_DESCRIPTION: unverifiable website
The reviewer could not confirm your business from your website. Make sure the site is live, shows the same business name you registered, and includes a privacy policy and contact details.
MESSAGE_FLOW: call to action could not be verified
Carriers need to see exactly how customers agree to receive texts. Describe the opt in step clearly, and make sure the form or page you reference is public and matches what you wrote.
MESSAGE_FLOW: opt in information
The opt in description did not meet carrier rules. Your consent language should name your business, say what kind of texts customers will get, mention that message frequency varies and explain STOP and HELP.
USE_CASE_DESCRIPTION: terms and conditions issues
Your terms did not cover SMS properly. Add a section that explains your text program, how to opt out with STOP, how to get help with HELP, and that message and data rates may apply.
MESSAGE_FLOW: Sole Proprietor EIN criteria
The brand was registered as the wrong type. Sole Proprietor brands are meant for businesses without an EIN. If your business has an EIN, it should be registered as a standard brand with details that match your records.
How resubmission works
- Read the failure reason in your platform.
- Fix the details it points to: website, opt in, terms or brand type.
- Resubmit the campaign for carrier review.
