Toll-free verification is required before a toll-free number can text US and Canadian mobiles. We prepare it for $50.
Which Numbers Need Toll-Free Verification
Toll-free verification applies to numbers that start with 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844 or 833. Each of these numbers needs its own approved verification before it can text US or Canadian mobiles. Local 10-digit numbers use A2P 10DLC registration instead, so they never go through toll-free verification.
Toll-Free Verification Requirements
Each request needs business details, policy links, a use case with samples, opt-in proof and expected volume. That means your legal name, address and EIN, plus a live website with separate privacy policy and terms URLs. Add a live form or screenshot showing consent. On Twilio, an approved Trust Hub profile comes first.

Twilio needs an approved Primary Customer Profile in Trust Hub before the request.
Toll-Free Verification Statuses
On Twilio, a toll-free number moves from Restricted to Pending Verification to Verified. Restricted and Pending numbers cannot text US or Canadian mobiles, and that traffic fails with error 30032. Twilio asks you to allow about 3 to 5 business days for review. You can edit a rejection within seven days to keep its priority.
Not Verified
Not submitted yet, or rejected and past the 7-day edit window. Twilio blocks the texts.
Verification in Progress
In review, or rejected but still editable. Texts are still blocked.
Approved to Send
Toll-free texting is open. Twilio sets 3 message segments per second by default.
Not Resubmittable
Content or policy rejections cannot be resubmitted, so traffic stays blocked.
Local Number or Toll Free?
Toll-free skips TCR; local numbers need 10DLC. A local 10-digit number needs A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration. A toll-free 800-style number needs one verification request per number, with no TCR brand or campaign. Pick the number type that fits how you text, then follow its approval process.

How Toll-Free Number Verification Works
Numbers show Pending in review, then Verified. You send your business information, use case and opt-in proof, and we prepare the submission. Reviewers check it, and on Twilio a fix resubmitted within seven days gets priority review. Once verified, the number can text US and Canadian mobiles.
